There’s no denying K’gari’s (Fraser Island) World Heritage-listed status.
It’s the world’s largest sand island, with tropical rainforests growing on sand, perched freshwater lakes, giant ancient trees, rainbow-coloured sands, rare ‘acid’ frogs, and a striking diversity of birdlife.

On this World Heritage Day (18 April) we celebrate the diversity of the world’s natural and cultural heritage and promote efforts required for their conservation.
